I am looking for a dependable, honest, and experienced handyman to help maintain and improve several residential properties in the Merced area.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a variety of work and is looking to build a long-term working relationship. I have ongoing maintenance, repair, remodeling, and property improvement projects throughout the year, so there is the potential for steady, ongoing work for the right person.
Projects may include:
General home maintenance and repairs
Plumbing repairs and fixture installation
Basic residential electrical work
Drywall installation and repair
Interior and exterior painting
Flooring (LVP, tile, laminate, etc.)
Doors, windows, locks, and trim work
Kitchen and bathroom remodeling
Cabinet installation
HVAC maintenance and minor repairs (experience is a plus)
Concrete, fencing, and exterior improvements
Garage and ADU renovation projects
Rental property turnover and make-ready work
Other remodeling and improvement projects as needed
What I'm Looking For:
Experience with residential construction or handyman work
Reliable transportation
Own basic tools
Ability to work independently and produce quality workmanship
Honest, dependable, and excellent communication skills
Licensed contractors are welcome but not required
I value quality workmanship and believe in paying fair and reasonable rates for good work. I am not looking for the cheapest person, nor am I interested in inflated or unreasonable pricing. My goal is to build a long-term relationship with someone who provides quality work at a fair price, with the benefit of consistent projects throughout the year.
Compensation and Work:
Compensation will depend on experience and the project scope. Work may be paid hourly or by project, depending on what makes sense for each job. (EDIT: Makes it more flexible and fair)
Retired contractors, semi-retired tradespeople, and experienced handymen looking for steady supplemental work are especially encouraged to apply.
