**Job Title:** Direct Support Professional (DSP)
**Shift:** 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
**Position Summary:**
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide hands-on support to an individual with an intellectual disability. The DSP will assist with daily living activities, promote independence, and ensure the health, safety, and well-being of the client in a supportive and respectful environment.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Provide direct care and supervision during assigned 12-hour shift (7A–7P)
* Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, and toileting
* Support meal preparation, feeding (if needed)
* Encourage participation in daily routines, recreational activities, and skill-building tasks
* Maintain a safe, clean, and structured environment
* Monitor and document client behaviors, progress, and any incidents accurately
* Follow individualized care plans and behavioral support strategies
* Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and family (as required)
**Qualifications:**
* High school diploma or equivalent (required)
* Previous experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities (preferred)
* CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
* Ability to pass background check and meet state requirements

* Strong observation and documentation skills
**Physical Requirements:**
* Ability to stand, walk, and assist with mobility throughout a 12-hour shift
* Capability to lift, transfer, or support client as needed
**Work Environment:**
This position is based in a residential or home setting and involves close, one-on-one interaction with the client throughout the shift.

* 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
